Santa Clarita & The San Fernando Valley Gas Leak Repair

Once a leak is found, the repair is the part that keeps it from coming back: the right fitting, the right connector, a tested line. Gas stays off until the line holds pressure.

8 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. No after-hours emergency service.

  1. Leak foundA detection test or the gas company found it. Now it gets fixed.
  2. Old connectorAn old brass flex connector is worth replacing before it leaks.
  3. Tagged applianceA red tag from the gas company means it stays off until repaired.
  4. Moving a lineA new appliance location means new gas line, done and tested.

Smell gas right now?

Leave first. SoCalGas tells customers to evacuate the area immediately and call from a safe place, and to call 911 if the leak could endanger life or property or they can't get through. If another company supplies your gas, call the number on its bill. Call us once it's been made safe.

How We Handle Gas Leak Repair

Most gas leaks we see are at a joint: a fitting that loosened, a valve that's worn, or an old flex connector behind a stove, dryer or water heater. Old uncoated brass connectors are a known weak point and get replaced, not tightened.

A leak in the line itself, underground or inside a wall, means replacing that section. Either way, the repair isn't done until the line holds pressure on a test gauge.

If the gas company shut off your service or tagged an appliance, the repair has to be made before they'll turn it back on.

Gas Leak Repair Questions

Can a gas leak be fixed by tightening the fitting?

Sometimes a joint is just loose. But a worn valve, a corroded fitting or an old connector needs replacing, and either way the line gets pressure tested before the gas goes back on.

My gas company shut off my gas. What now?

They'll have told you what failed. Call us, we'll repair it and test the line, and then the gas company can turn service back on.
