Santa Clarita & The San Fernando Valley Tankless Water Heaters
A tankless heater makes hot water as you use it, instead of keeping a tank of it hot. It also asks more of the house: a larger gas supply, its own venting, and regular flushing where the water is hard.

Sounds familiar?
- Hot, then coldTemperature swings mid-shower often mean scale or a gas supply that can't keep up.
- Error codesMost tankless units report what's wrong. We read the code before we touch anything.
- Weaker flowScale or a clogged inlet filter cuts how much hot water gets through.
- Never been flushedIn hard water, a unit that has never been descaled is losing efficiency every month.
How We Handle Tankless Water Heaters
Installing tankless is a different job from swapping a tank. A gas tankless unit burns far more gas while it runs than a tank heater does, so the gas line feeding it often has to be larger. It needs venting made for it, and a condensing model needs a drain for its condensate. Skipping any of that is how tankless gets a bad name.
Service matters just as much. Hard water leaves scale inside the heat exchanger, and scale makes the unit work harder, heat less and eventually throw error codes. Flushing the exchanger with a descaling solution clears it. How often depends on your water, which is why we look at your supplier's hardness before we set a schedule.
If your tankless is already acting up, the usual causes are scale, a clogged inlet filter, a venting fault or a gas supply that can't keep up. We find which one before we replace anything.

Tankless Water Heaters Questions
How often should a tankless water heater be flushed?
It depends on the water. Hard water scales the heat exchanger faster, so it needs flushing more often than soft water does. We check your supplier's published hardness and the unit's maker's instructions, then set the schedule.
Can I switch from a tank to tankless?
Usually, but check three things first: whether the gas line can supply the unit, where it will vent, and where a condensing unit's condensate will drain. We look at all three before quoting.
